Lawrenceville used to be a small town– many many years ago, but today Lawrenceville has grown to a substantial size. While you won’t get that “small town” feeling, or enjoy shops that are within walking distance, unless you live in Downtown Lawrenceville, you will find plenty of things to do and friendly residents.
Lawrenceville was the very first city that I lived in when I relocated to Georgia from Maryland almost 20 years ago. It was also where my husband and I purchased our very first home together. We actually lived on the outskirts of Lawrenceville on the boarder of Grayson in a subdivision called Melrose. We enjoyed living there until the economy collapsed and we made a decision to sell our house.
One of the things that I really appreciated about Lawrenceville, having just moved from Maryland, were the schools. The schools in Lawrenceville were head and shoulders above the school system that our boys had come out of.
If you enjoy the feel of a big city with good schools, lots of restaurants, shopping, entertainment, and activities, Lawrenceville might just be the place for you.
Lawrenceville Resident Reviews:
I’ve grown up in Lawrenceville. This place is my home town, and i must say that it is extremely beautiful. Downtown Lawrenceville is definitely the hot spot; with all of the amazing shops, restaurants, and “haunting” stories. Not to mention it’s an amazing historical spot. — Current Resident
“Lawrenceville is not only a nice place to live but also pretty quiet compared to other towns of comparable size. The residents here are friendly as are the business owners. The night life here is barely existent and everything closes down too early at night but it’s a nice area and where I live it’s kinda outside of town. The traffic here is HORRIBLE but I think that’s the entire area as a whole. I don’t know for sure. Overall my experience since living in Lawrenceville has been very positive!” — Current Resident
